I don't know what is in the air but there is something out there that is making people have less patience than ever.
Just yesterday I was yelled at on more than 1 occasion.
And not by children, full-grown adults yelling at me.
Immediately I'm taken back to the principles office
getting in trouble and I usually cower in the corner over the fear
of disappointing someone or knowing that I'm at fault for something.
I am not one to find motivation with someone that just yells.
Even after trying to be helpful,
saying all the right things and even
staying calm and yet they kept on yelling.
I didn't know what to do.
So I just sat and I listened.
I activated my mindful listening to get to the root of their problem.
They weren't being seen and felt like they weren't being heard.
So I let them yell making sure not to let their fury infiltrate my boundary.
I reminded myself that everyone is living in a pandemic and
people are searching for things they can control.
One thing I know for sure as hell is that
hurt people hurt people.
So today I'm creating enough love vibes to send out into the world because it feels like it needs it more each day.
How can you brighten up someone else's day today?
Maybe someone just needs you to listen
